Eleanor Shields — Head Teacher, Upper Elementary
Eleanor brings over 20 years of Montessori classroom teaching experience to our Upper Elementary classroom.  Eleanor received her formal Montessori training with Lower and Upper Elementary AMS certification from the Columbus Montessori Teacher Training Center.  Through the American Montessori Society, Eleanor also served as a teacher/classroom evaluator.  Prior to completing her Montessori training, Eleanor had wide experience teaching and counseling both privately and in small groups.  Eleanor holds a Bachelor of Music from Misericordia University in Dallas, PA and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Marywood University in Scranton, PA, with elementary (K-8) and music (K-12) teaching certification in the state of Michigan.

Sophia Avramides — Assistant Teacher, Upper Elementary
Sophia's Upper Elementary certification is from the Michigan Montessori Teacher Education Center.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Science in Climate Change from the University of East Anglia.  Sophia is an avid linguist and is fluent in four languages: English, Greek, Italian and Russian.
