The ShareHouse
is an enterprise and community outreach project of Christian Montessori School
of Ann Arbor. It provides a means of raising money for the school.
It is a means of building community and sharing our heart with the larger
community. The ShareHouse provides a place where the school community
can share its gifts with each other. It is a store,
a mission collection and distribution center, an arts center
and more.
ShareHouse: the store
The store is a second hand store which collects and sells second hand
goods and newly created art.
ShareHouse: mission and outreach projects
For several years now, CMSAA has been collecting clothes, toys,
toiletries and other items to support various mission organizations.
We believe that much of what we collect for the second hand store will be
excellent provision for this exercise.
The ShareHouse, in partnership with Christian Montessori School of
Ann Arbor, supports and works in collaboration with many local and
international organizations including but not limited to:
- Amazon Medical Missions
- American Montessori Society
- Ann Arbor YMCA
- Domino’s Farms
- Howell Nature Center
- Michigan Montessori Society
- Planet Rock
- Salvation Army
- Saline Evangelical Senior Citizen Homes
- State of Michigan Family Independence Agency
- The Breakfast Program at St. Andrews
- Staples Family Center
- Washtenaw County Good Start
- Wild Swan Theatre
ShareHouse: creative endeavors
The ShareHouse includes a community of artisans who practice their art
and share their teaching with center participants. Some artisans conduct
workshops, others rent space for showcasing and selling their art.
Artisans interested in participating should contact Jim Daratony at
(734) 222-0876.
